The Rosemary Clarke Middle School Sharks cross country team had a great day on September 6th at Sunset Park, which was the second race of their season. The race was a quick one, being only 1.3 miles. The day was already warm by the time of the middle school races, which took place at 10:25 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Despite the heat, multiple runners on both the boys’ and girls’ teams set new personal records among a field of 221 male finishers and 196 female finishers from 23 different middle schools. Optum–Nevada’s healthcare team is bringing its Medicine on the Move mobile medical center to the event on Saturday, September 27, offering free preventive screenings to local residents. On Tuesday, September 3, the Lady Trojans traveled to Boulder City to compete against several Southern Nevada schools. Representing Pahrump Valley were Raegan Saldaña and Tiffany Sartin, who both completed all 18 holes on a challenging course.
