The Pahrump Valley High School girls’ golf team continued its season with back-to-back matches that highlighted steady effort and valuable experience for the young program.
On Tuesday, September 3, the Lady Trojans traveled to Boulder City to compete against several Southern Nevada schools. Representing Pahrump Valley were Raegan Saldaña and Tiffany Sartin, who both completed all 18 holes on a challenging course. Saldaña earned a 10th-place finish with a score of 101, finishing at +29 to par, while Sartin tied for 20th place overall. Teams participating included Boulder City, Virgin Valley, Moapa Valley, Coral Academy, and Pahrump Valley, though only Boulder City, Virgin Valley, and Moapa Valley had full rosters to qualify for team scoring. Boulder City dominated the leaderboard, with Emmerson Hinds taking first, followed by Morgan Terrill in second and Makenzie Martorano in third.

The following week, on Tuesday, September 9, the team traveled to Siena Golf Club in Las Vegas for another test against a strong field. Once again, Saldaña and Sartin represented the Trojans, each finishing all 18 holes. Saldaña placed 20th with a score of 118, +46 to par, while Sartin finished in 27th with a score of 142, +70 to par. Boulder City, Coral Academy, Moapa Valley, The Meadows, Virgin Valley, and Pahrump Valley were all in attendance, with Pahrump the only school not fielding a full team. For the second straight event, Boulder City swept the top spots, led again by Hinds in first place, Terrill in second, and Martorano in third.
In the first three matches of the season, Saldaña and Sartin have continued to represent their school with determination, completing each course against competitive programs and showing progress from match to match. Their steady growth is helping build a strong foundation for the program as the season moves forward.
