The weekend before Halloween brought a spirited mix of fitness and fun as the Pahrump Disability Outreach Program (P.D.O.P.) hosted its 16th annual Pumpkin Days celebration — featuring the 15th annual Monster Dash walk and run on Saturday, October 25. This year’s Monster Dash drew 90 participants, a mix of runners and walkers of all ages, who came together to support P.D.O.P.’s mission of inclusion and accessibility. The Pahrump Valley High School cross country teams continued their standout season on Saturday, October 18, at the Coaches Association Invitational held at Cornerstone Park in Henderson. With evening races at 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00 p.m., the Trojans showed unity, endurance and competitive drive all divisions—earning first place overall finishes for both the boys’ and girls’ varsity teams.
