The Pahrump Valley High School boys’ golf team is making a strong case for a shot at state qualification, with five matches now in the books and just a regional performance standing between them and a potential trip to the championship round. Pahrump Valley High School senior Sasha Strain has always been a standout in the classroom, but this year, she’s taken her achievements to a whole new level. With a perfect 4.0 GPA, an ACT score of 35, and recognition as a National Merit Finalist, Sasha has earned more than 2.1 million dollars in scholarship offers from universities across the country. For more than 20 years, eighth-grade students from Rosemary Clarke Middle School (RCMS) have had the incredible opportunity to explore some of the most historically significant cities in the United States through the school’s annual Eastern Seaboard trip. This year’s adventure, held April 4–12, took 24 students and 12 dedicated chaperones on a whirlwind tour of Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
