In fact, he noted that while they’re most known for working on the iconic Beetles, they also see a growing interest in restoring buses, especially the camper models. “These vehicles are valuable, and people are realizing they can still be a part of their lives,” he added.

In addition, Doghouse Repair sponsors a local race car, which prominently displays the shop’s name. Though Phil laughed about his involvement with the race car, saying that the driver, Garey Levitt, doesn’t exactly let him sponsor in the traditional sense, it’s clear that the support goes beyond just business. “Garey’s been a customer of mine since the very beginning,” he said, speaking of the long-standing friendship that has grown out of their professional relationship.
