The Pahrump Valley High School Trojans’ softball team put on an impressive show Tuesday night at home, cruising to a dominant 19-1 win over the Cheyenne Desert Shields. The game ended after just three innings due to the mercy rule, highlighting the strength and depth of the Trojans’ lineup. The Desert Shields scored their only run in the top of the first inning. On Saturday, March 29, the Nye County Sheriff’s Office welcomed its newest deputies during a meaningful and emotional graduation ceremony for Detention Academy Class 01-P-2025. Friends, family, and department personnel gathered to honor the accomplishments of Joseph Burrell, Scott Matthews, and Joshua Park as they officially joined the ranks of the agency.
