The Pahrump Valley High School Trojans boys’ junior varsity basketball team hit the road on Friday, Dec. 5, to face Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, delivering a high-energy performance in a game defined by defensive pressure, quick transitions, and steady improvement across all four quarters. Although the Trojans ultimately fell 62–53, the team showed strong teamwork, resilience, and multiple standout moments that kept them competitive throughout the night. A burst of color, creativity, and Trojan pride is lighting up Romero’s Mexican Restaurant this season, thanks to a special Holiday T-Shirt Design Contest that showcased the talents of Pahrump Valley High School art students. The community is invited to come out and show its support for local law enforcement during the very first fundraiser benefiting Friends of Nye County Sheriff’s Office, a newly formed nonprofit dedicated to assisting the Nye County Sheriff’s Office with community-focused programs and events.
