The community is invited to come out and show its support for local law enforcement during the very first fundraiser benefiting Friends of Nye County Sheriff’s Office, a newly formed nonprofit dedicated to assisting the Nye County Sheriff’s Office with community-focused programs and events. The event will be held during First Friday on December 5 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Artesian Cellars Winery, located at 1731 Highway 160 in Pahrump.
Friends of Nye County Sheriff’s Office operates under the tagline “Backing the badge. Serving the community,” and works to support positive engagement between NCSO and residents. Proceeds from this debut fundraiser will help cover beloved local programs such as Shop with a Cop, holiday and community parades, and other outreach efforts that build strong relationships between deputies and families throughout Nye County.
There is no fee to attend, making the evening accessible to everyone who wants to stop by, meet members of the nonprofit, and learn more about their mission. While admission is free, the fundraiser itself will center on raffles and a 50/50 drawing. Guests are encouraged to bring cash—there is no ATM on-site at the winery.
Because the event is being held at the Artesian Cellars restaurant and winery, attendees may also choose to support the local business by ordering drinks or dinner while enjoying the evening’s activities. Live entertainment will be provided by Ruh Roh Music, bringing a festive soundtrack to the night.
Friends of Nye County Sheriff’s Office hopes the community will help make this first fundraiser a strong start to what they plan to grow. Every raffle ticket and 50/50 ticket purchased helps ensure that programs like Shop with a Cop continue to thrive, giving deputies more opportunities to serve and connect with local youth and families.
For a fun Friday night out—and a chance to support the deputies who serve Nye County—Artesian Cellars will be the place to be on December 5.
