The holiday season is set to shine a little brighter as Pahrump Theatre Company prepares to debut two festive productions at the Calvada Theater, located at 1266 E. Calvada Blvd., Suite 1. With one show crafted especially for families and another aimed at adult audiences looking for a quirky twist on Christmas tradition, the company is offering something for everyone this December.

“A Tiny Christmas Carol” Brings Heart and Holiday Magic
The young performers of Pahrump Theatre Company will take center stage in A Tiny Christmas Carol, a kid-powered retelling of the classic holiday tale. Filled with warmth and whimsy, the production follows Tiny Tam and the children with “the sick” as they embark on a mission to save their hospital wing from being shut down by a pint-sized Scrooge.

This youth-led cast promises the kind of cozy Christmas charm that only kids can create, making it an ideal outing for families looking to start the season with something special.

Showtimes for A Tiny Christmas Carol are:

    • December 12 at 6 p.m.
    • December 13 at 6 p.m.
    • December 14 at 2 p.m.
    • December 18 at 6 p.m.
    • December 19 at 6 p.m.
    • December 20 at 6 p.m.
    • December 21 at 2 p.m.

Ticket prices are $5 for kids, $10 for veterans and seniors, and $15 for adults.

Families are encouraged to purchase seats early, as the shows are expected to sell quickly.

“Young Grinchenstein” Offers a Holiday Comedy for Adults
For audiences seeking offbeat humor and a slightly mischievous take on holiday storytelling, Pahrump Theatre Company will also present Young Grinchenstein—a mash-up of Mel Brooks-style parody, Dr. Seuss-inspired nonsense, and a dash of chaotic holiday magic.

The story follows Fred, who has spent his life trying to escape one unusual family legacy: his grandfather stole Christmas—literally. To avoid the association, he dons a lab coat and reinvents himself as Dr. Gronchensteen. But as the play quickly reveals, hiding from holiday infamy is easier said than done. What unfolds from there is a playful and unpredictable adventure where scientific experiments, Christmas spirit, and one very overwhelmed scientist collide. The plot intentionally remains shrouded in mystery—because, as the theater says, “the confusion is part of the experience.”

This production is recommended for mature audiences only.

    Showtimes for Young Grinchenstein are:

    • December 12 at 8 p.m.
    • December 13 at 8 p.m.
    • December 14 at 4 p.m.
    • December 18 at 8 p.m.
    • December 19 at 8 p.m.
    • December 20 at 8 p.m.
    • December 21 at 4 p.m.

Ticket prices are $15 for veterans and seniors, and $20 for adults.
Tickets for “Young Grinchenstein are available here.

Both productions will be held at the Calvada Theater. With two unique shows—one heartfelt and family-friendly, the other delightfully off-the-rails—Pahrump Theatre Company is inviting the community to celebrate the season through the magic of live performance.
