A new organization is bringing Pahrump business professionals together with a focus on building connections, sharing resources and creating new opportunities for collaboration throughout the community.
The Pahrump Business Council, or PBC, was recently founded by a group of local business professionals who share a common goal of strengthening Pahrump’s business community through connection, collaboration, education and support.
As the organization begins establishing itself within the community, local business owners and professionals are invited to learn more during a Meet and Greet Luncheon on Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Valley Electric Conference Center, 800 E. Nevada Highway 372.
The event is designed to introduce the Pahrump Business Council to the community while giving attendees plenty of time to do exactly what the organization hopes to encourage — meet other local professionals, make connections and begin building relationships.
The afternoon will begin with networking from 11:30 a.m. to noon, followed by lunch from noon to 1 p.m. An additional networking period will be held from 1 to 2 p.m.
Organizers describe the luncheon as an opportunity for attendees to meet local business owners, expand their professional connections and discover what the newly formed Pahrump Business Council has to offer.
The council was established by seven founding members representing a variety of industries within the Pahrump business community: Christine “Nina” Castellanos of Rooted Realty Group, Brad Harris of Associated Telecom, Arlette Newvine of Newvine Law, Jeffrey Dye of Edward Jones, Heather Battaglia of Premier Mortgage Resources, John Ingram of Old Republic Title and Nancy Thedinga of Hear Now.
Together, the founding members hope to create an organization where businesses can form meaningful professional relationships while also finding ways to support one another and the community they serve.
PBC has also partnered with Gail Gershbein of the Pahrump Business Networking Group, bringing the two organizations together in an effort to expand opportunities for local professionals to connect, collaborate and grow.
Rather than viewing networking solely as a way to promote individual businesses, the council is placing an emphasis on cooperation and the idea that a stronger network of local businesses can ultimately benefit the larger Pahrump community.
Education and resource sharing are also among the organization’s priorities. By bringing professionals from different industries and backgrounds together, PBC hopes participants will be able to learn from one another, exchange information and develop relationships that can help local businesses navigate challenges and identify new opportunities.
For those interested in becoming involved, there is currently no membership fee to participate in the Pahrump Business Council. Organizers said the focus at this stage is on creating an inclusive and collaborative organization where local businesses can build relationships, share resources and work together to strengthen Pahrump’s overall business community.
That open approach will be on display during the Aug. 27 Meet and Greet Luncheon, which offers local professionals a chance to become acquainted with the organization and one another in an informal setting.
The council’s message, “Connect, Grow, Give Back,” reflects its broader vision of developing a business network that not only helps its participants succeed but also contributes to the community as a whole. Its accompanying theme, “Together, We Build Pahrump,” emphasizes the collaborative approach the founding members hope will become central to the organization.
