Crafting for a Cause to Host Polar Express-Themed Holiday Craft Fair

The spirit of giving will take center stage when Crafting for a Cause hosts its Polar Express Experience Craft Fair on Friday and Saturday, November 21–22, bringing a festive mix of holiday shopping, music, and family fun to the community.

Organized by Lisa McNicholas and Jan Maher, the event will feature 40 vendors offering handmade crafts, gifts, décor, and seasonal treats — all while supporting local needs. Each vendor is donating non-perishable food items, which will be given to a local food bank, and $10 of every booth fee will be contributed to local nonprofit organization Pahrump Theatre Company.

Adding to the event’s holiday charm, this year’s theme centers around the Polar Express Experience, designed to create a little Christmas magic for local children. During one of five time slots—10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.—children will receive a personalized train ticket, hot cocoa, cupcakes, and a special gift bag. The Pahrump Theatre Company will perform a five- to ten-minute skit inspired by The Polar Express at each session.

While the experience was originally planned to cost $5 per child, Top Dog Realty generously stepped in as the event sponsor, making it completely free. Families are asked to message Crafting for a Cause on Facebook to reserve a time and provide their child’s name so their ticket can be personalized.

In keeping with that spirit, Crafting for a Cause has also invited the local senior centers and EMS personnel to stop by Friday morning for complimentary coffee and doughnuts while they browse the vendor booths.

Visitors can also enjoy a festive soundtrack courtesy of Ruh Roh DJ, who will be spinning holiday favorites throughout the two-day event. A food truck will be on-site, offering treats and refreshments to round out the cheerful atmosphere.

Maher emphasized that while the event features plenty of fun, its purpose remains rooted in giving back. For updates, vendor information, or to reserve a child’s spot on the Polar Express, follow Crafting for a Cause on Facebook.
