As Emma Lowes prepares to graduate from Pahrump Valley High School, she reflects on a high school journey filled with excitement, growth, and meaningful memories. With her infectious school spirit and dedication to cheerleading, Emma has truly left her mark on PVHS.
For Emma, being a spirit leader has been one of the most defining aspects of her high school experience. “I love to show my school spirit and make people smile,” Emma shares. Her vibrant energy and enthusiasm have brought joy to countless classmates and created memories she will cherish forever. Along the way, she’s built lasting friendships that have made her journey even more special.
Cheerleading has been a cornerstone of Emma’s high school years, shaping her into the confident and driven individual she is today. Over the past four years, she has embraced the thrill of performing in front of supportive crowds, making cheerleading a daily part of her life. “The adrenaline you get from cheering in front of a crowd is like no other,” Emma explains. Her passion and dedication have made cheerleading an unforgettable experience that has enriched her time at PVHS.
Emma’s achievements extend far beyond the walls of PVHS. As the daughter of an Air Force member, she has had the unique opportunity to travel the world, gaining experiences and perspectives that many students can only dream of. During her freshman and sophomore years, Emma lived in England and cheered at Lakenheath High School, where she had the chance to meet cheerleaders from the Colts, Broncos, and Vikings. Their encouragement helped her gain the confidence to be her authentic self.
Emma’s cheerleading journey also took her to Belgium and Germany for competitions, offering her unforgettable moments on an international stage. Back at PVHS, one of her standout memories is cheering at her first Fall Festival, an experience that brought her immense excitement and joy.
As Emma looks ahead to life after high school, she envisions a bright future with endless possibilities. She plans to pursue a career in cosmetology, studying to become an aesthetician. After beauty school, she hopes to serve in the Air Force for four years, continuing a family tradition of service and leadership.
When asked to share advice for underclassmen, Emma’s wisdom shines through. “Keep your head up and stay on top of your work. You are working toward your future, and you want to make the best of it,” she says. Emma encourages students to get involved in sports or clubs that interest them, promising that they won’t regret the experience. Her parting words of advice? “Be confident in yourself and keep pushing through, even when it gets hard.”
Emma exemplifies the spirit of positivity. Her journey at PVHS has been one of growth and inspiration, and as she prepares for the next chapter of her life, it’s clear that her future is as bright as her smile.
