Trojanettes Set the Stage for a New Season with Upcoming Dance Team Tryouts

Pahrump Valley High School is preparing to welcome the next group of talented performers to its dance program as tryouts for the 2026–2027 PVHS Dance Team are set to take place in mid-April.

The official tryouts will be held on Wednesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. in the Pathways Gym, but dancers interested in earning a spot on the team will first need to participate in a mandatory two-day clinic. The clinic is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, April 13–14, from 3 to 5 p.m., also in the Pathways Gym. Attendance at both clinic sessions is required in order to be eligible for tryouts, giving participants an opportunity to learn routines, refine technique and become familiar with expectations ahead of the audition.

The PVHS Dance Team, known for its strong performances and commitment to representing the school with pride, is looking for dedicated students ready to bring energy, discipline and teamwork to the program. Tryouts are open to students who meet all requirements, including having a current physical completed prior to participation.

Those planning to try out should come prepared in all black, school-appropriate athletic attire, along with tennis shoes. Hair should be styled half up and half down to ensure a clean, uniform appearance during evaluations.

To help students prepare, tryout packets will be available beginning Wednesday in both the Pahrump Valley High School and Rosemary Clarke Middle School front offices. These packets will include additional details about expectations, requirements and what participants can expect throughout the tryout process.

With another exciting season ahead, the upcoming tryouts offer a chance for students to become part of a program that emphasizes not only performance, but also school spirit, leadership and personal growth. For many, joining the dance team is an opportunity to build lasting friendships while representing PVHS both on campus and in competition.

Students or parents with questions are encouraged to reach out to Coach Cunningham directly at jcunningham@nyeschools.org for more information.
