Pahrump’s holiday season is kicking off with one of its most anticipated winter traditions as the Hometown Holidays Craft Fair returns to the Bob Ruud Community Center on Friday, December 5, and Saturday, December 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Organized by Ashley Welch of Art from the Heart by Ashley, this marks her third year bringing the festive event to life for local families, artisans, and small businesses.
This year’s fair will feature 40 booths, filling the community center with handmade gifts, unique creations, and small-business treasures just in time for holiday shopping. Visitors can browse a wide range of items, including jewelry, handbags, home décor, bath and body products, fine art, quilts, sweet treats, furniture, paper crafts, clothing, pet treats, hats, shirts, and many more one-of-a-kind pieces crafted or curated by local vendors.
Along with the creativity and craftsmanship, Hometown Holidays continues its tradition of giving back. The event will again host a pet food drive for West Star Ranch, collecting dog and cat food throughout the weekend. Every donation directly supports the “fur babies” who rely on the rescue while awaiting safe, loving homes.
A new addition this year is a dedicated West Star Ranch Adoption Display, showcasing photos and descriptions of dogs currently available for adoption. The rescue currently has around 20 dogs that are ready for new homes, along with a few who are still adjusting to a new environment. Every adoptable dog is spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, and available for an adoption fee of $150, regardless of age.
Ashley shared her excitement about adding the adoption display this year, noting that the fair has always been about connection—between creators and shoppers, community members, and now, hopeful pets and future families. The display is designed to help shine a spotlight on animals who often get overlooked simply because they aren’t physically present at events.
With holiday shopping, community spirit, and plenty of ways to give back, the Hometown Holidays Craft Fair is set to once again bring joy, local pride, and generous hearts together under one roof.
The event is free to attend, family-friendly, and open to the entire community.
