As she navigates the first half of her senior year at Pahrump Valley High School, Analise Veloz reflects on her journey with a sense of accomplishment and nostalgia. Fondly recalling the times spent with her friends—from class projects to lunch outings and extracurricular activities—Analise’s high school experience has been enriched by these shared moments. “I wouldn’t have been able to get through high school without them,” she says, underscoring the importance of friendship in her life.
Throughout her time at PVHS, Analise has been an active member of the school community. This is her fourth year on the PVHS dance team, where she’s loved every moment of performing and boosting school spirit. Dance has been more than just an activity; it’s connected her to the school in meaningful ways and given her a platform to express her enthusiasm. In addition to dance, Analise joined the Key Club during her freshman and sophomore years, and she’s been part of the National Honor Society (NHS) for three years, serving as an officer. Being involved in clubs and taking on leadership roles has taught her valuable skills in teamwork and responsibility, preparing her for the future.
Analise takes pride in her academic achievements, maintaining strong grades in challenging courses. Her dedication to her studies has shown her that perseverance can lead to success and has bolstered her confidence in her abilities. As she nears graduation, she admits to a mixture of excitement and apprehension about what lies ahead. Growing up might feel daunting, but Analise is ready to embrace the next chapter with open arms.
Looking to the future, Analise plans to attend college to pursue a degree in elementary education. Teaching has been a lifelong passion, and she envisions herself working with second-grade students someday, following in the footsteps of several family members who have also dedicated themselves to education. For Analise, teaching feels like it’s “in her blood,” and she’s eager to make her mark in the classroom.
To underclassmen, Analise offers wise advice: “High school can be really hard, but you just have to keep your head up and power through. People are so mean and will try to push you down. Don’t let them. Be yourself and try not to worry about others.” She encourages them to focus on their studies, avoid unnecessary drama, and, most importantly, enjoy every moment before stepping into the next phase of life. With her positive outlook and dedication, Analise Veloz is ready to take on whatever comes her way, carrying her high school memories and friendships into the future.
