The Pahrump Valley High School track and field team delivered an impressive all-around performance at the Centennial High School weekday meet, highlighted by a school record, numerous personal bests and strong finishes across nearly every event.
From sprints to distance, hurdles to field events, the Trojans showed both depth and determination, continuing to build momentum as the season progresses.
The Trojans competed in the 4×800 relay on both the boys and girls sides, where they were the only teams entered in each race, setting the tone early for a meet that showcased their commitment across all events.
In the hurdles, the boys 110m group saw a trio of personal bests, with Evan Strain (22.08), Aeden Redditt (22.21) and Samuel Sylva (22.31) all turning in strong races. On the girls side, Jules Ondrisko led the way in the 100m hurdles, placing fifth overall with a personal best of 18.41. Diona Nixon followed in sixth (18.62), Ella Odegard placed eighth (19.52), and Kyndra Cardwell clocked a personal best of 21.03 to finish ninth.
The Trojans’ sprinters made their mark in the 100m dash. Ben De Santiago continued his standout season, finishing third overall with a personal best of 11.38. Jayden Crisler (12.45), Cade Wulfenstein (12.77), Orion Schmidt (13.43), Juan Carlos Rodriguez (13.80), Tyler Weaver (14.37) and Trenton Linn (14.67) all recorded personal bests, while Justin Byers (12.46), Joseph Scheer (13.21), Kelan Sheppard (13.36), Azel Machuca (13.49), Alexander Martinez (14.22), Mossiah Readus (14.66), Gideon Wydick (14.91) and Samuel Sylva (15.47) added depth to a large and competitive field.
On the girls side, Rosie Miller led the way with a ninth-place finish in 13.69, followed by Ma’liyah Collins in 11th (13.79). Anjolina Mercado (14.04), Cindal Monahan (15.04), Melanie Carson (15.42, personal best), Mitzy Godinez (15.46, personal best), Christine Williams (15.50), McKinsey Nottingham (15.53), Ember Castaneda Dabney (15.56), K’Lynn Butler (15.60), Avery Farruggia (15.65), Charisma Woodard (15.68), Jayda Camden (15.76), Dyana Castro (15.79, personal best), Juliana Turco (15.84, personal best), Patience Moore (16.21), Citlaly Ruvalcaba (16.55, personal best), Daniela Abarca-Franco (16.98, personal best), Giselle Rodriguez-Alvarez (17.72), Kaylie Abrego (18.04) and Tianna Beaver (18.56) all contributed strong efforts.
Distance runners continued to shine, particularly in the 1600m. Logan Tilley led a dominant boys showing, winning the race in 5:05.04, followed by Josh Gent in second (5:23.14) and Joaquin Flores in third (5:27.03). Jacob Seeback (6:15.40), Sam Grabbe (6:25.52, season best), Manny Dupart (6:27.19, personal best), Akim Khan (6:46.67), Ethan Johnson (7:08.79, season best) and Isaiah Veloz (7:49.70) rounded out the group.
For the girls, Addi Nelsen placed second with a personal best of 6:10.50. Sophie Romero (6:49.68), Alexis Clouser (6:50.22), Kimberly Trejo (7:37.82) and Kaylan Robinson (7:56.98) also competed well.




One of the biggest highlights of the meet came in the boys 400m dash, where De Santiago broke his own school record—set just the week prior at Virgin Valley—finishing first in 49.83. Joaquin Flores followed in 55.62, while Byers (58.25), Schmidt (59.65), Machuca (1:01.49) and Readus (1:07.87) all set personal bests. Additional efforts came from Sheppard (1:02.24), Martinez (1:04.80), Linn (1:07.72), Weaver (1:08.41) and Grabbe (1:15.85, personal best).


In the girls 400m, Nottingham (1:11.91), Monahan (1:13.27), Moore (1:20.73, personal best), Abarca-Franco (1:25.20), Rodriguez-Alvarez (1:32.01) and Bella Cinelli (1:41.51, personal best) all competed.
The 300m hurdles saw Strain add another personal best (49.65) for the boys. Nixon (52.34), Odegard (58.02), Cardwell (1:01.93) and Castro (1:04.73, personal best) represented the girls.
In the 800m, Joaquin Flores placed third (2:08.13), followed by Tilley (2:13.44, personal best), Daniel Thompson (2:18.95, personal best), Josh Flores (2:25.51, personal best), Nathan Miller (2:35.20, personal best), Seeback (2:47.04), Johnson (2:54.99, personal best), Dupart (2:57.54, personal best), Khan (3:00.15) and Veloz (3:39.93).
For the girls, Miller placed fourth with a season best 2:45.51, Nelsen followed in fifth (2:46.90), Ava Bowers took sixth (2:48.16), Clouser ran a season best (3:02.21), Farruggia posted a personal best (3:12.51), Williams (3:19.09) and Cinelli (3:54.91, personal best) rounded out the group.
Sprint depth continued in the 200m dash. De Santiago placed fifth (22.94, personal best), Crisler seventh (23.20, personal best), and several Trojans recorded personal bests including Byers (24.60), Redditt (25.23), Scheer (26.41), Schmidt (26.64), Martinez (28.01), Linn (29.21), Readus (29.23), Weaver (29.31), Grabbe (30.12), while Wydick (31.35, season best) and Sylva (31.65) also competed.
On the girls side, Collins (28.80), Miller (29.44, personal best), Monahan (30.79), Farruggia (30.99, personal best), Woodard (31.32, personal best), Butler (32.04, personal best), Williams (32.28), Carson (32.45, season best), Castro (33.19, personal best), Camden (33.44), Godinez (34.07, personal best), Ruvalcaba (34.15, personal best), Turco (34.19, personal best), Abarca-Franco (34.30, personal best), Moore (34.52), Dabney (35.50), Mercado (36.73), Rodriguez-Alvarez (36.95, personal best), Abrego (38.87), Beaver (39.11, personal best) and Cinelli (41.84, personal best) all ran.
In the 3200m, Gent (11:53.48), Tilley (13:45.03), Joshua Flores (13:45.54), Khan (15:11.58, season best), Seeback (15:29.79, season best), Johnson (15:34.89, personal best) and Veloz (17:57.68, personal best) represented the Trojans.
Both the boys and girls 4×400 relay teams finished second against Centennial, capping strong team performances on the track.






In field events, the Trojans continued to show depth and improvement. In boys shot put, Sonny Skinner (38’8”), Brenden Thorn (36’2”, season best), Chasen Hamann (31’1”, personal best), Taysom Christensen (30’7”), Cade Wulfenstein (27’7”), Juan Carlos Rodriguez (26’8”), Ace Blumer (24’11”, personal best), Lucas Silva (24’0”, personal best), Julio Ackerman (23’), Joseph Kirkpatrick (21’10”) and Ethan Marsh (18’8”) all competed.
On the girls side, Kaitlyn Brown (27’10”, personal best), Cailyn Marsh (24’10”, personal best), Julie Briggs (24’3”, season best), Chanel Thorn (21’7”), Ava Bowers (21’1”), Nyomi Skinner (20’9”) and Abrego (17’2”, personal best) contributed.
In discus, Thorn (126’3”, season best) and Skinner (124’10”, season best) led the boys, followed by Hamann (112’9”, personal best), Rodriguez (94’10”, personal best), Wulfenstein (81’9”), Silva (67’10”, personal best), Blumer (67’7”, personal best), Christensen (66’1”), Marsh (58’8”), Kirkpatrick (57’3”, personal best) and Ackerman (44’5”, personal best).
For the girls, Nyomi Skinner placed third with a personal best throw of 67’6”, while Brown (67’1”), Briggs (65’1”), Thorn (62’2”), Abrego (60’8”, personal best), Marsh (52’9”) and Bowers (44’7”, personal best) followed.
In the high jump, Strain cleared 5’ for the boys. Trejo placed second in the girls event at 4’8”, with Aurora Bowers (4’4”) and Nottingham (4’) also competing.

In pole vault, Nelsen cleared a personal best 6’, while Cardwell (5’6”) and Ruvalcaba (5’) also competed.
In long jump, Strain (14’4.5”), Sheppard (13’9.25”), Johnson (13’4.25”, personal best) and Sylva (11’9”) represented the boys. Nixon (13’11”), Godinez (11’2”), Carson (11’1”) and Turco (10’8”, personal best) competed for the girls.



In triple jump, Crisler placed second with a jump of 42’3.75”, while Thompson added a personal best mark of 36’7”.
With record-breaking performances, a long list of personal bests and contributions from athletes across every event group, the Trojans continue to show growth, depth and determination as they move further into the season.
