A new era for youth volleyball has arrived in Pahrump with the formation of the Pahrump Valley Volleyball Club (PVVC), led by Pahrump Valley High School volleyball coach Amber Lugo. The newly established club will give local athletes access to highly competitive play without having to join a team outside of the community, marking a major step forward for volleyball development in the valley.
PVVC is set to compete in both the V League and the Under Armour National Championships in Las Vegas, offering players the chance to face strong regional and national opponents. The season begins immediately and will run through May, providing months of training, tournaments, and team growth.

Unlike traditional single-age club teams, PVVC is forming as a blended-age roster, bringing together athletes from ages 14 through 18. Despite the range, the team will compete in the 18U division, giving every player the opportunity to challenge themselves at a high level of play.

Coach Lugo says the launch of PVVC fills a long-standing gap for Pahrump athletes who have often had to travel out of town to gain club experience. “I am very excited to bring a real club experience to the volleyball athletes here in Pahrump,” she shared. With a full season of Vegas-based competition ahead, Lugo said she looks forward to seeing the team’s progress. “It will be so fun to watch this team grow.”

Practices are now underway as PVVC prepares for its first slate of competitions. With access to high-level tournaments and a dedicated coach, the club marks an exciting opportunity for aspiring volleyball athletes in the valley.
The creation of PVVC brings a sense of pride and possibility to the local volleyball community—and with a season stretching into spring and major events on the calendar, players and families can expect an unforgettable first year.
