Hafen Elementary’s second-grade students got a hands-on lesson in farm life during an exciting field trip to Green Life Produce on Thursday, March 13. The trip, organized by second-grade teacher Ms. Brown, gave 70 eager students from three classrooms a chance to explore the inner workings of a farm as they prepared to begin a new science and reading unit on plants. The annual Pahrump Chili Cook-Off and Festival is set to return this weekend, March 21-23, 2025, promising a weekend packed with delicious chili, live entertainment, exciting competitions, and family-friendly activities. Since its inception 13 years ago, the festival has grown into a highly anticipated community event, bringing together locals and visitors for a celebration of food and philanthropy.
