The Pahrump Valley High School girls’ basketball team gathered on Monday, March 16 to celebrate a season of hard work, growth and achievement during their annual end-of-year banquet.
The evening brought together players, coaches and families to reflect on the team’s progress throughout the season while recognizing the individual contributions that helped shape the Trojans’ success on and off the court.
Several players were honored with team awards that highlighted their dedication, versatility and impact. Ella Odegard earned the Utility Player award, recognized for her ability to contribute in multiple roles and consistently step up wherever the team needed her most. Julie Briggs received the Coaches Award, a testament to her leadership, attitude and commitment to the program.
Addi Nelsen was named Most Improved, showcasing the strides she made over the course of the season through her effort and determination. On the defensive end, Autumn Colon earned Defensive Player honors for her relentless energy and ability to disrupt opponents.

Kaitlyn Brown was recognized as Offensive Player of the Year after leading the team with her scoring ability and playmaking presence. The team’s Most Valuable Player award went to Riley Saldaña, whose all-around performance and leadership made her a cornerstone of the Trojans’ success this season. Jules Ondrisko received the Fighter Award, highlighting her toughness, perseverance and never-quit mentality throughout the year.
In addition to team awards, several Trojans were recognized at the league level for their standout performances. Ella Odegard earned Honorable Mention honors, while Riley Saldaña was named to the All-League First Team. Kaitlyn Brown and Addi Nelsen both secured spots on the All-League Second Team, further underscoring the depth of talent within the program.

The banquet served as a celebration not only of individual accomplishments, but of the team’s collective effort, growth and resilience throughout the season. With a strong group of players continuing to develop, the future remains bright for Pahrump Valley girls’ basketball.
