A day of local shopping, live entertainment and community giving is coming to Pahrump this fall as the free Crafts in Cars Street Fair rolls into the Bob Ruud Community Center parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 3.
The family-friendly event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bob Ruud Community Center, 150 N. Highway 160, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to spend the day supporting local artisans, enjoying live entertainment and participating in a community food drive.
Organizers describe the event as “a family affair,” inviting people of all ages to browse handcrafted items from local crafters and artists while enjoying a festive atmosphere filled with food, activities and entertainment. Attendees can expect a variety of locally made products, making it an ideal opportunity to shop for one-of-a-kind gifts or discover the work of talented area artisans.
Live entertainment will be featured throughout the day, adding to the lively atmosphere, while Bash N Jas’s Food Truck will be on site serving both breakfast and lunch. Families with children can also enjoy face painting, and raffle opportunities will be available for attendees.
The event also includes a Nevada Outreach Food Drive, encouraging visitors to bring nonperishable, non-expired food items to help support local families in need. As an added incentive, the first 70 attendees who donate three food items will receive a $3 coupon that can be used at any participating crafter’s booth during the event.
By combining local shopping with charitable giving, the street fair offers community members a chance to support small businesses while helping stock food supplies for those facing food insecurity.
The Crafts in Cars Street Fair is free to attend. Those interested in becoming a vendor or entertainer can call 702-417-9267 for additional information.
