The Pahrump Valley High School Trojans’ track and field teams delivered an outstanding performance at the 1A,2A and 3A Southern Regional Meet held May 9 and 10 at Virgin Valley High School, with both the boys’ and girls’ teams finishing second overall. Competing against some of the toughest athletes in the region, the Trojans qualified dozens of student-athletes for the upcoming State Tournament, which will be held May 16 and 17 at Moapa Valley High School. With top-eight finishes contributing points to the team total and the top four individuals in each event advancing to State, Pahrump’s depth and determination were on full display.

Coming up just a little short of a regional title but every athlete gave it their all. I couldn’t ask for anymore. The future is bright with many freshmen and sophomores stepping up.”

With the Regional Championships behind them, the Trojans now set their sights on the State Meet, ready to compete with the best in Nevada.
