Charleston Peak Winery will welcome the fall season with the return of its annual Grape Stomp celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.
The all-ages harvest festival will feature grape-stomping competitions, live music, wine and beer tastings, food trucks and a marketplace filled with local vendors. General admission tickets begin at $5.
The grape-stomping competition will place teams of two inside barrels, where participants will race to crush grapes while friends, family members and other festivalgoers cheer them on. Trophies will be awarded to the top-performing teams.
Participants and spectators are also encouraged to dress in costume. A separate trophy will be presented to the winner of the festival’s costume contest.
Throughout the day, adult attendees will have an opportunity to sample wines from around the world along with a selection of beers. Live entertainment will be presented against the winery’s desert and mountain backdrop.
Local vendors will offer a variety of items, including baked goods, handmade crafts, bath products, jewelry, blown glass and tarot cards. Two food trucks will be onsite, and the Charleston Peak Winery kitchen will also serve food during the festival.
General admission without tastings is $5. Tickets that include admission and six tastings are $25 when purchased in advance or $35 on the day of the event.
Entry into the grape-stomping competition is $60 per two-person team and includes admission for both participants. Teams must register by Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Charleston Peak Wine Society members may receive up to two complimentary tickets by contacting the winery in advance or redeeming the tickets onsite.
Charleston Peak Winery is located in Pahrump, approximately one hour outside Las Vegas. Tickets are available through Eventbrite.
