    Senior Spotlight: Chloe Havins

For Chloe Havins, high school has been a season of growth, belonging, and discovering who she is meant to be. As she looks back on her time at Pahrump Valley High School, Chloe speaks with gratitude about the people and experiences that helped shape her journey—especially the friendships she formed and the teachers who made school feel like a second home.

One of the most meaningful lessons Chloe learned during high school is the importance of finding her place. Once she connected with the right people and mentors, everything began to fall into place. Surrounded by supportive friends and amazing teachers, she found confidence in herself and clarity in her direction. That sense of belonging became a foundation for her success both inside and outside the classroom.

Chloe’s involvement in extracurricular activities played a major role in her growth. She spent a year as a cheerleader, an experience that helped her build confidence and encouraged her to spread positivity wherever she went. Cheerleading taught her the value of uplifting others and showing school spirit with heart and enthusiasm. She is also an active member of Student Council, where she learned how to collaborate as part of a team, develop a strong work ethic, and take pride in contributing to her school community. Chloe is quick to credit the advisors and coaches she worked with, describing them as loving, supportive, and deeply influential in her high school experience.

Academically and personally, Chloe is proud of the progress she made during her senior year. Maintaining strong grades stands out as a major accomplishment, reflecting her dedication and maturity. Beyond academics, she takes great pride in being heavily involved in her church and in finding her own path in life—one guided by faith, purpose, and a desire to serve others.

Looking ahead, Chloe plans to attend college, though she is still deciding where her next chapter will begin. She has a clear vision for her future career, aspiring to become a teacher. She plans to major in elementary education and minor in religious studies, with the goal of becoming a Christian teacher. For Chloe, teaching represents more than a profession—it is a calling to make a meaningful impact on young lives, just as her own teachers did for her.

When asked what advice she would give to underclassmen, Chloe keeps it simple and sincere: participate. Whether in class discussions, activities, or school spirit, she encourages students to step outside their comfort zones. Even when it feels hard to break away from the social norm, engaging fully can transform the high school experience and make it far more rewarding.

Above all, Chloe wants people to know how special the environment at PVHS truly is. She describes the atmosphere created by the teachers as welcoming, loving, and supportive—an environment that made her feel valued and encouraged every day. As she prepares to graduate, Chloe Havins leaves behind a legacy of kindness, involvement, and quiet leadership, carrying with her the lessons and love that defined her high school years.
