The 2024 PVHS Homecoming halftime on Saturday, October 5, was a remarkable event filled with school pride, honoring both the past and present members of the Trojan community. Despite the sweltering temperatures, the crowd remained enthusiastic as the school celebrated five new inductees into the PVHS Hall of Fame, recognizing their lasting contributions to the school’s legacy.

This year’s Hall of Fame inductees included Joe Clayton, Kristi Daffer Shreeve, Trina Daffer, Sarah Hopkins, and Bryce Odegard. These honorees represent a mix of PVHS athletics with two celebrated alumni athletes, a successful former coach and two inductees especially known for their commitment to the athletic department, assisting with fundraisers, keeping stats, and ensuring the success of various programs. All five have left a lasting impact on the school’s athletic success and spirit.

Alongside the Hall of Fame inductions, the Homecoming Royalty court was celebrated during the halftime ceremony. While most of the court had been introduced at Friday’s Pep Assembly, the King and Queen were revealed during the game, adding to the excitement. Freshman Lord Brodi Wheeler and Lady Sarah Penner, Sophomore Duke Aaron Rily and Duchess Natalie Soto, and Junior Prince Fernando Mosqueda Solis and Princess Addie Allen were all presented before the highly anticipated crowning of the Senior King and Queen. Ethen Hutchinson and Sasha Strain were met with enthusiastic applause as they took their places as this year’s King and Queen, marking a highlight of the afternoon’s celebration.

The PVHS Cheer and Dance teams came together to perform a high-energy routine to a 70s mix to match the Homecoming theme – the 70s, amplifying the already vibrant atmosphere. Their synchronized performance brought rounds of applause, embodying the heart and soul of the Trojan spirit.

Even with the temperature soaring near 100 degrees, the halftime ceremony went smoothly, creating an unforgettable afternoon for both the school and the community. This year’s Homecoming truly reflected the spirit of unity, pride, and celebration at Pahrump Valley High School.
