Pumpkins, costumes and fresh-baked treats will be part of the fun when Green Life Produce hosts its fourth annual Pahrumpkin Patch on Saturday, Oct. 10. The free event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at 6640 Hawkins Way in Pahrump, offering families an afternoon of seasonal activities and opportunities to shop with local vendors.
The family-owned business’s celebration will feature a pumpkin patch, free face painting, food trucks, music and a free photo area where visitors can capture memories of their fall outing. Pumpkins will be available for purchase, whether visitors are choosing one to take home or putting their carving skills to the test during the event.
The pumpkin-carving contest will run from 5 to 6 p.m., with a $75 prize for first place and $50 for second place. Participants must purchase their pumpkin on site, and carving tools will be provided.
Visitors are also encouraged to dress for the occasion. A costume contest is scheduled for 6:15 p.m., with prizes available for the winners.
Among the local vendors will be Emily’s Cottage Bakery, which will bring fresh-baked goods for visitors to enjoy. The bakery is also offering a gift basket giveaway, with each purchase from its booth earning one entry to win a basket of baked treats valued at $100. The winner will be announced Oct. 31.
Green Life Produce will have an additional raffle opportunity during the event. According to the event flyer, shoppers will receive a raffle ticket with every $100 purchase for a chance to win a prize valued at $200.
With activities spread throughout the afternoon, visitors can browse the pumpkin selection, pick up something to eat and explore the vendor booths before gathering for the contests. The combination of free activities and local businesses gives families several ways to enjoy the season together.
