The Pahrump Valley High School cross country team delivered a strong performance on Saturday, September 13, at the Clark County Fairgrounds in a meet hosted by Moapa Valley High School. Competing across three divisions, the Trojans recorded standout individual times, set new personal and season records, and captured the boys’ varsity team title.

In the boys’ Varsity B race, the Trojans showed steady improvement and resilience. Evan Risk led the way for Pahrump, finishing 21st overall with a personal record of 22:19.7. He was closely followed by Mozes Quinonez, who placed 24th overall with a personal best of 22:45.0. Not far behind was Noah Flores, setting a season record with his 26th-place time of 22:49.9. Emmanuel Dupart also turned in a personal record at 25:26.4, and Isaiah Veloz rounded out the squad with a personal best of 32:35.2.

In the boys’ Varsity race, the Trojans secured the team championship with a deep and balanced performance across the board. Joaquin Flores finished first for Pahrump and secured fourth place overall with a time of 17:49.3, while teammate Josh Gent was just behind him in fifth place at 17:57.7. Logan Tilley added another top-10 finish at eighth overall in 18:40.4, and Aydon Veloz crossed the line in eleventh at 18:48.9. Consistency was key for the Trojans, as Ben De Santiago (13th, 19:06.4), Josh Flores (14th, 19:08.0), and Timmy Stutzman (15th, 19:09.1) all finished within seconds of one another, each earning a medal for their top-15 placement. Daniel Thompson (23rd, 20:27.6), Kris Trejo (27th, 20:54.2), Jacob McLaughlin (28th, 20:55.1, SR), Sam Grabbe (22:39.6), and Akim Khan (23:19.4) rounded out an impressive team showing that demonstrated both depth and balance.

The team’s depth was further displayed with Keelee Gieni finishing 11th in 27:01.4, Kimberly Trejo 13th in 28:56.4, Ella Odegard 14th in 29:17.9 (SR), and Lynette Doty completing the lineup.
