The boys hosted Adelson on Monday, Oct. 5, finishing with an 11-7 loss. The girls followed on Tuesday, Oct. 6, playing to a 9-9 tie before Virgin Valley won the tiebreaker matches to secure the deciding point and a 10-9 victory.
In the boys’ competition, Jace Eichner recovered from a 0-6 opening loss to win his next two singles matches. Eichner edged his second opponent 7-5 before closing with a decisive 6-0 victory, contributing two points to the Trojans’ total.
Brody Myers and Samson Wagner also won two of their three doubles matches. After a close 5-7 loss, the pair responded with a 6-0 win and followed it with a 6-2 victory.
Taysom Christensen and Chase Hansen added another two wins in doubles. They opened with a 6-2 victory, dropped their second match 3-6 and finished with a competitive 6-4 win. Jacob Harker and Ryland Abbiss split their two matches, answering a 1-6 loss with a 6-1 victory.
Those performances gave Pahrump contributions from several partnerships, with Eichner, Myers and Wagner, and Harker and Abbiss each earning victories after opening losses. Adelson ultimately secured the remaining points to advance.

The girls’ quarterfinal brought an especially close finish, with Pahrump’s singles players accounting for six of the team’s nine points.
Chanel Anthony delivered a perfect afternoon, winning all three of her matches by identical 6-0 scores. Anthony did not surrender a game across her three victories, providing a strong foundation for the Trojans.
Aurora Bowers also swept her three singles matches, winning 6-2, 6-4 and 6-3. Together, Anthony and Bowers kept Pahrump firmly in contention as the doubles results helped bring the teams level.
Milly Khandpur and Nyomi Skinner earned two wins in three doubles matches. They opened with a close 7-5 victory, fell 3-6 in their second match and finished with a 6-2 win.
Kimberly Hernandez and Sophia Jimenez contributed another point through a tightly contested 7-5 victory in their second match. The pair opened with a narrow 5-7 loss and finished with a 0-6 result.
With the teams tied 9-9, the quarterfinal moved to tiebreaker matches. Virgin Valley prevailed, earning the additional point needed to advance and ending Pahrump’s team playoff run.

The regional postseason continues for the Trojans in individual and doubles competition. Pahrump’s players will compete in the Round of 16 on Thursday, Oct. 15, at Bishop Gorman, giving them another opportunity to build on their quarterfinal performances.
