CREDA Southern Nevada has selected 24 emerging commercial real estate professionals for its Developing Leaders Institute Class of 2027, bringing together participants from companies involved in construction, engineering, architecture, brokerage and development.
Announced Oct. 20, the class will take part in a program combining leadership training, industry education and a project designed to give participants experience with the commercial real estate development process.
The institute begins with a three-day leadership retreat focused on personal development. Participants will learn techniques to improve organization, productivity and leadership effectiveness before moving into monthly educational sessions led by professionals from Southern Nevada’s commercial real estate and development industry.
Those sessions will explore the skills needed to advance in the profession, with industry leaders sharing their experiences and the paths that led them to their current roles. The format also gives participants opportunities to build professional relationships throughout the program.
The Class of 2027 includes Colton Berndes of Cushman & Wakefield; Tyler Boehm of Martin Harris Construction; Austin Burke of Burke Construction Group; Erica Crotts of Martin Harris Construction; Johana Gonzalez of Prologis; and Zachary Grant of Kimley Horn.
Also selected were Eric Gross of KME Architects; Henry Guida of Habitat Development; Collin Higgins of CBRE; Jason Ipina Estrada of GCW Engineering; Alena Kalandos of Cushman & Wakefield; and Janelle Layman of Millie & Severson.
Additional class members are Ryan Mote of Sphere Real Estate; Maddie Nuha of LOGIC Commercial Real Estate; Greg Oliver of Schnitzer Properties; Thomas Olsen of Newmark; Tyler Roersma of CommCap Advisors; and Zach Schauer of Hiltz Commercial Group.
Rounding out the class are Michael Scher of Cushman & Wakefield; Jason Shon of Wood Rodgers; Andrew Sinclair of EBS Realty Partners; Daniel Stehle of Mark IV Capital, Inc.; Chris Topacio of CivilOne, LLC; and Seth Wright of NAI Excel.
The program concludes with a class project that takes participants through planning a development, beginning with site selection and continuing through the eventual sale or disposition of the completed property. The exercise allows participants to apply what they have learned while working together on the decisions involved in a development project.
