A new opportunity for relaxation, self-discovery and holistic wellness is coming to the region this spring as the Death Valley Wellness Sanctuary prepares to host its upcoming Wellness in the Desert retreat, scheduled for April 24–26, 2026.
Designed as a three-day immersive experience, the retreat blends movement, mindfulness, education and connection in a peaceful desert setting. According to retreat host Heather Williams, the goal is to create an accessible wellness experience that welcomes both overnight guests and local participants looking for meaningful day trips.
“Our weekend retreat offers a one-of-a-kind transformative experience for all walks of life,” Williams said. “Las Vegas will likely be our overnight crowd, but we value Pahrump locals deeply, and look forward to seeing familiar faces amongst the attendees by traveling over daily. The purpose of the daily drive options is to allow for a cost savvy way for Pahrump and Vegas locals to still attend even if they do not wish to book a room accommodation at the resort.”
The retreat offers flexible participation options. Guests can register for the full three-day experience for $250, which includes access to all workshops and activities, or choose individual sessions à la carte, priced at approximately $49 per class. Organizers say the full-weekend option provides the best value for those planning to attend multiple sessions.
Throughout the weekend, participants will be able to explore a wide variety of wellness practices led by facilitators traveling in from Las Vegas and beyond, alongside several local instructors. Offerings include yoga, body sculpting, sound baths, and a playful improv workshop led by Oliver Jones, Founder of the Pahrump Theatre Company.
A highlight of the retreat is a therapist-led, two-part communication and personal growth workshop focused on helping participants recognize patterns and move forward in their lives. A pharmacist-led class, led by Pahrump’s own Justin Curnutt – who owned the Pahrump Wellness center – will explore nutrition, herbal wellness and optimizing brain and body function will also be featured.
“We tried to create something that supports both physical wellness and emotional well-being,” Williams explained. “It’s not just exercise or relaxation — it’s about giving people tools they can take home with them.”
The weekend begins Friday afternoon with check-in followed by a welcome reception and inaugural ribbon cutting, complete with wine, appetizers and introductory activities designed to help guests connect and welcoming the first Wellness Retreat in Death Valley history. Evening programming includes the first Body & Soul Detox workshop and a sound bath session under the tranquil desert atmosphere.
Saturday features a full schedule of movement and mindfulness sessions at Mission Gardens, workshops in the Oasis Room, and an evening candlelit chair massage experience, provided by Heather Williams, Pennie Beccia, Jennifer Ridenour-Dietze and Christina Roman, will be accompanied by live music, wine and appetizers — an elevated relaxation event organizers describe as one of the retreat’s signature moments.
Sunday morning closes the experience with additional fitness and yoga sessions, followed by the second installment of the communication workshop before checkout and departure.
Williams noted that while the sanctuary’s resort accommodations cater to overnight guests, locals are strongly encouraged to attend as day participants. Pahrump residents can also receive special discounts — including at least 20 percent off spa services — during the retreat weekend.
“While we have a local location at Treasure’s RV resort, we want the Pahrump community to feel welcome and experience the beautiful resort in Death Valley,” she said. “Even coming for one class can be a really refreshing reset, and Pahrump Wellness Sanctuary is honored to extend a warm invite to Pahrump’s locals.”
Registration is now open, and organizers say filling available seats is a priority as the event approaches. Those interested can sign up for the full retreat, individual classes, or explore lodging options directly through the sanctuary’s website.
