The Rosemary Clarke Middle School football team enjoyed a special night on the field as they hosted their first-ever “Under the Lights” game, a fundraiser that brought more than 100 members of the community together and raised just over $1,600 for the Sharks program.

Typically, playing under stadium lights is an experience reserved for athletes once they reach high school, but on this night, the Sharks had their chance to shine. Every player had the opportunity to get on the field for nearly half the game, giving friends and family plenty of chances to cheer them on and witness their efforts firsthand.
Head Coach Andrew Norton expressed his gratitude for the event’s success and the support it received. “The boys were excited and loved being able to play under the lights, an experience they usually aren’t afforded until high school. The community was great, the atmosphere was fantastic, and it seemed whether you were a player, coach, or spectator, a good time was had,” he said.

The fundraiser not only gave the young athletes an unforgettable evening, but also strengthened the bond between the team and their supporters. With the positive turnout, the Sharks are already looking ahead to building on this tradition. “We hope to make this an annual thing to showcase these awesome young men every year, and perhaps grow it to be bigger and bigger,” Norton added.
The Sharks’ “Under the Lights” debut was more than just a fundraiser—it was a celebration of youth sports in Pahrump and the bright future of football in the community.
