National Bowling Day returns on Saturday, Aug. 8, giving bowling enthusiasts and families alike a reason to lace up their shoes and celebrate one of America’s favorite pastimes. In Pahrump, the celebration will take place at the community’s bowling center, The Nugget Bowl inside the Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino.
Whether guests are longtime league bowlers or simply looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon with family and friends, The Nugget Bowl offers something for every skill level. The bowling center features league play, open bowling, cosmic bowling and a full-service pro shop, making it a popular destination for local bowlers throughout the year.
National Bowling Day is observed annually to celebrate the sport and encourage people to gather for a little friendly competition. It’s also an opportunity to introduce someone new to bowling or simply enjoy a few games with family and friends.
Those heading to the lanes can also take advantage of several weekly specials.
The Strike includes two games of bowling and shoe rental for $8 per person.
For an evening outing, Friday and Saturday Night Fever offers one hour of bowling and two shoe rentals for $17.
Families and groups can also enjoy the Sunday Bowl Special, available from 3 to 8 p.m., which includes two hours of bowling, four pairs of shoe rentals, a large popcorn and a pitcher of soda for $50 per lane.
