Community members in Pahrump are coming together to support Danny Sanchez and his family with a special fundraiser on Saturday, August 16, 2025. The day’s activities will begin at 10 a.m. outside Shenanigans, located at 1330 E. Calvada Blvd., and continue into the evening with games, food, and family-friendly entertainment. Alicia Lewis, one of the organizers, emphasized that the event is designed for everyone, saying, “We’ve planned something for everyone—kids, teens, adults—so the whole family can come out and enjoy while helping a great cause.”

Later in the day, activities will move to Petrack Park for a soccer kickoff from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. featuring both a 7v7 game and a “Beat the Goalie” challenge. The 7v7 game costs $30 per person, with the schedule pending depending on the number of players and teams formed. The Beat the Goalie challenge is $20 for 10 kicks and will be organized by age groups, with times for the youngest participants starting at 5:30 p.m. and running through adult competition at 7:30 p.m.

Several local vendors and food trucks will be participating to keep guests fueled and entertained. Shops and boutiques include Meme’s Boutique, Willa’s Sweet Treats, Pahrump Photo Booth, and Sherrie Marie’s Attic. Food trucks on site will feature Kona Ice, El Jefe’s Birria, Oh My Lumpia, and World’s Best Corn Dogs. Additional activities include a cornhole tournament at $30 per team, as well as a bounce house and waterslide available for $10 for 30 minutes. Water, soda, and chips will also be sold, and Shenanigans and the food trucks will offer additional food and drink options for purchase. Lewis shared that all participating vendors are contributing in some way, whether through a flat donation, a percentage of sales, raffle items, or a combination, and she expressed gratitude for their support.

The event will also include raffles and an online auction. Raffle tickets will be available at both Shenanigans and Petrack Park, with prizes such as gift certificates for photography sessions, massages, dining, and themed baskets, and winners do not need to be present to claim their prizes. The online auction will go live Friday, August 15, and run until 5 p.m. Sunday, August 24. Some of the auction items include a VGK hockey stick autographed by Tomas Hertl donated by VGK, a Cowabunga Bay family pack, and Raiders tickets donated by Desert Lotus Salon and two separate pairs of VGK tickets donated by Fidelity National Title, which winners can schedule based on availability, excluding championship games. The full online auction can be accessed at http://butterflyeffectnonprofit.betterworld.org/auctions/fundraiser-danny-sanchez.

This fundraiser is made possible thanks to generous sponsors including Pahrump Valley Community News, Shenanigans, Dr. Yim – Affordable Family Dental, Celestial Health Solutions, FD Candy, Pahrump Methadone Clinic, Bouncing Belle’s Party Rentals, Boss Babe Bouncers, Wish Upon a Princess Party, Pahrump Jr. Trojans Soccer Club, Nevada Realty, The Butterfly Effect NonProfit, Albertsons, and Some Shirt Guy, among others. Each sponsor has contributed time, products, or funds to support the event. Lewis added, “It’s truly heartwarming to see how our community comes together to help one of our own. We hope everyone will come out, have fun, and support Danny and his family.”
