The Pahrump Valley High School Theatre Department is excited to announce its upcoming production of Steel Magnolias, featuring an all-female cast. This production offers a contrast to the department’s fall play, which had an all-male cast, showcasing the diverse talent within the PVHS theatre program. Performances will take place on February 13, 14, 15, and 20, 21, 22 at 6 p.m., with a special dinner theatre option on February 20 at 5 p.m.
Set in a small-town Louisiana beauty salon, Steel Magnolias is a poignant and humorous exploration of friendship, resilience, and life’s triumphs and challenges. Spanning three years, the play captures the deep bonds between six women as they navigate personal joys and heartbreaks while sharing moments of laughter, gossip, and support. The witty dialogue and emotional depth have made this production a beloved classic.
The talented all-female cast features Alexas Clouser as Shelly Eatenton-Latcherie, Taralynn Hallenback as M’Lynn Eatenton, Kylee Siegmund as Ouiser Boudreaux, Kyleah Hoffman as Clairee Belcher, Jailee Clark as Truvy Jones, and Vanessa Sherard as Annelle Dupuy-Desoto. Ellarose Brondo will serve as the understudy for Truvy. The production highlights the incredible talent and dedication of these young performers, promising an evening filled with humor, heartfelt moments, and unforgettable storytelling.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens, with reservations opening to the public on January 20, 2025. Tickets can be purchased online at CUR8.com by clicking Buy Tickets and searching for “PVHS.” The dinner theatre on February 20 adds an extra layer of excitement, offering a special menu to enhance the experience. Details on the dinner menu and pricing will be released soon. Show tickets will be available with the dinner option as well.
Don’t miss this opportunity to support local student talent and witness the magic of live theatre. Mark your calendars, reserve your tickets early, and get ready to laugh, cry, and be moved by the unforgettable story of Steel Magnolias.
