Top Dog Real Estate Brings Team-Based, Client-Focused Approach to Pahrump’s Housing Market

Top Dog Real Estate may be a new name in the local housing market, but the team behind it is anything but new to real estate in Pahrump. Spearheaded by top-producing agent Tasha Douglas (B.1003225), the agency is the product of years of hard work, collaboration, and a shared vision between Tasha and fellow agents Alli Murphy (S.0185915), Amanda Nelson (S.0183615), Tony Carlo (S.0171398), and Robin Shrader (S.0196951). After nearly a decade of working together, the team officially launched Top Dog Real Estate with the goal of providing a more connected, hands-on, and team-oriented experience for their clients.

Tasha, who has been a licensed agent for ten years and now serves as the agency’s broker, said the decision to open Top Dog Real Estate came naturally. “We’ve always been a rock-solid team,” she said. “We’ve been high producers for a long time, and when I started running the numbers, it just didn’t make sense to keep paying someone else’s overhead. We were generating enough to run our own office.”

Now in her new role as broker, Tasha is committed to being a fully engaged leader. “Every deal that Alli or Amanda is working on—I’m involved,” she said. “I want to keep things small enough that I can know exactly what’s going on with each client and be available for my agents. It’s not about micromanaging—it’s about supporting them with experience and insight.”

Alli echoed that sentiment, sharing how Tasha’s depth of knowledge has always benefited the team. “She remembers everything—addresses, prices, clients, even deals from five years ago. She’s hands-on with her own deals and ours, and that’s what makes her the right person to lead us.”

While Tasha is the broker, she’s quick to emphasize that Top Dog is a true team effort. “We’ve never worked like a traditional hierarchy. When you hire one of us, you’re really getting all of us,” she said. “We sit together, work through issues together, brainstorm together. Every challenge is met with five minds, not just one.”

In addition to Tasha, Alli, and Amanda, the team includes veteran agents Tony—who mentored Tasha early in her career—and Robin, whose behind-the-scenes efforts have been instrumental in getting the office up and running. “Robin has been a huge help,” Tasha noted. “She even brought in her husband to help with setting up the office. That’s the kind of support and collaboration we’re built on.”

Tony’s influence runs deep within the team. “Tony has taught me a lot of what I know regarding real estate,” Tasha said. “He taught me what it means to go above and beyond for clients. One of his biggest lessons was that our work doesn’t end when the transaction closes. That mindset shaped who I am as an agent.”

Top Dog Real Estate operates with a clear mission: to provide full-service, client-centered real estate solutions with heart. “We’re not just about opening doors,” Alli said. “Every deal teaches us something new, and we don’t run away from the hard stuff. We solve it. We do what it takes to get to the finish line.”

Tasha shared a recent example that illustrates their commitment. “I had a client, 87 years old, who closed on his house and then fell the next day and broke his ankle. His daughter flew in from Colorado, terrified about what to do next. But I had his car stored safely, his belongings secured, and everything ready for her. She said, ‘But the deal is already closed,’ and I told her, ‘The job isn’t done until everything’s taken care of.’”

That philosophy—of going above and beyond, of sticking with clients beyond the sale—is deeply embedded in their business. “We pray about everything,” Tasha said. “We ask for guidance and discipline to do the right thing for our clients, no matter what. That’s our foundation.”

That commitment, they believe, is what brings clients back again and again. “Repeat business and referrals—that’s our lifeblood,” Tasha said. “I’d say about 75 percent of my business is from returning clients. When you put people first, they remember it.”

The team’s work ethic is reflected in their individual performance—Tasha was recently recognized as the number one sales agent in Nye County—but they credit their success to the group’s cohesion. “We’re all dog people,” Alli stated. “And like dogs, we’re loyal, committed, and protective of our clients.”

That spirit even inspired the company’s name. Originally considering “Big Dog Real Estate,” the team pivoted to “Top Dog” after watching a dog race and having a collective lightbulb moment. “It just clicked,” Tasha said. “Top Dog felt right. And when we got our MLS code—T-DOG—it was meant to be.”

The office has continued to grow. New team members include office manager Haley Merck and assistant-in-training Madison Durante, who is currently studying for her real estate license. “Haley started just this week,” Tasha shared. “And she’s already a great fit.”

To ensure fairness and transparency, leads are distributed via a rotation system among the agents, and the team shares a central office line—775-764-7401—where clients can reach them directly. Agents can also be contacted individually:

Tasha emphasized that while they’re proud to list homes, they are just as happy to help clients find the right property—no matter who listed it. “It doesn’t have to be a Top Dog listing,” she said. “If it’s out there and it fits your needs, we’ll help you get it.”

As the real estate market continues to shift, Tasha and Alli both describe it as steady, with signs of seasonal improvement. “Things are picking up,” Tasha said. “Listings are moving, buyers are looking, and the key right now is proper pricing. If you overprice, your home will sit. But if it’s priced right, it will sell.”

Top Dog Real Estate may be new in name, but the passion, knowledge, and unity behind it are long-established. Built on loyalty, faith, and a relentless drive to serve, this team is determined to remain Pahrump’s best friend in real estate.
