Pahrump will soon host a night of soulful music and heartfelt performances as acclaimed singer and songwriter Aaron Akins takes the stage at Rhinestones Country Bar & Dance Hall on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Presented by Mental Margarita XYZ Productions, the special event promises to be one of the most memorable musical evenings Nye County has seen.

Akins, originally from Chicago, began singing in church as a child before pursuing music at Southern Illinois University. His passion led him to Los Angeles, where he built an impressive career that includes performances alongside legends like Bob Hope and Ray Charles, as well as acting roles on television and in film. His soulful voice and magnetic stage presence have earned him accolades, including being named Best Cabaret/Concert Male Artist in Los Angeles by Broadway World.

Jersey Doll, Executive Producer of the Mental Margarita Show on KPVM Channel 25.1, expressed her excitement about bringing Akins to Pahrump. “Nowhere else will you hear a voice that will leave you so captivated and moved,” she said. “We are truly honored to be part of this special night.”

Akins’ newly released single, When Do We Love, featuring Walter and Wallace Scott of the legendary soul group The Whispers, has been gaining nationwide attention. The performance will also serve as a tribute to Walter Scott, who passed away recently, ensuring his legacy is honored through the music he helped inspire.

Beyond his extensive career—which includes a performance for the Pope at the Vatican, a starring role in Billy Ocean’s Suddenly music video, and his hit song I Just Wanna Luv You featured in the film Black Butterfly—Akins has become known for Into the Cole, his powerful tribute to Nat King Cole. Audiences at Rhinestones can expect a mix of original works and classic renditions that highlight his versatility and artistry.

The evening also supports a meaningful cause, with a portion of ticket sales benefiting the Kline Veterans Fund of Southern Nevada, which provides emergency housing and support services to at-risk veterans and their families.

Rhinestones Country Bar & Dance Hall, located at 1700 Pahrump Valley Blvd #83, offers the perfect setting for the performance, featuring live entertainment, dining, billiards, and a veterans’ tribute gaming bar.

Tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased in advance at www.aaronakinsmusic.com or by calling 252-379-5700. Seating is limited, and tickets will not be available at the door.
