Rosemary Clarke Middle School is gearing up for an exciting football season as tryouts officially begin Monday, August 11, 2025. The team will be led by newly appointed Head Coach Andrew Norton, who stepped into the role last week, with a strong commitment to student-athletes and the RCMS community.
Tryouts will take place Monday through Wednesday, August 11–13, from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. each day. Students hoping to make the team should plan to attend all three days to showcase their skills, attitude, and work ethic.
Once the roster is finalized, selected players will pick up their uniforms on Thursday, August 14, from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. That evening, parents and guardians are invited to a mandatory informational meeting from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Ashley Norton’s room, H118. The meeting will cover expectations, schedules, and other important season details.
Coach Norton, who also leads the boys’ soccer program at Pahrump Valley High School, accepted the middle school football position, despite his packed schedule. Norton said the opportunity to support local youth—especially alongside his own child—made it an easy yes.
“It might be the busiest I’ve ever been,” Norton said with a smile, “but it’s worth it to help build something special and give these kids a positive experience.”
Families are encouraged to attend the parent meeting or contact the school with any questions. With Norton at the helm, RCMS football is ready to hit the ground running this fall.
