With these victories, the Trojans head into their final regular-season game against Losee on Thursday, October 24, awaiting the results that will determine their postseason fate.
Against Boulder City, the Trojans fought hard for a 3-1 win, with set scores of 25-18, 15-25, 25-15, and 25-20. Senior Bryn Mazlo anchored the defense with 20 digs, while Sophomore Xeane Kamanu recorded 19 digs, 10 kills, and three service aces. The win keeps Pahrump in playoff contention, but their final position will depend on Thursday’s outcome and other league results.
The Trojans followed that performance with a dominant 3-0 sweep over Western High School on Tuesday, October 22, with set scores of 25-7, 25-12, and 25-19. The match doubled as Senior Night, honoring the contributions of the team’s two seniors, Belen Ramirez and Bryn Mazlo. Both players were celebrated in a pregame ceremony, recognizing their leadership and dedication throughout the season.
“Player of the game are the seniors—Belen and Bryn,” Head Coach Veronica Montanez said. “They lead the team with serves, are team leaders, and have been all season. They sure will be missed.”
Kamanu continued her strong play against Western with 14 kills and 6 service aces, while Freshman Sedona Norton led the defense with 10 digs. Ramirez and Kamanu followed closely with 9 digs each, contributing to the team’s sweep.
Looking ahead to the decisive game against Losee, Coach Montanez expressed confidence in her team’s preparation and potential. “I think they are ready for Thursday night’s game! We have worked so hard this year, and they deserve it! It’s time to show who we are!”
