Pahrump Valley High School girls’ golf showcased their skills at a recent meet hosted by Virgin Valley, held at the Casablanca in Mesquite, NV, on August 27th. The competition was fierce, but PVHS golfer Aliana Zuniga delivered an impressive performance, shooting an 87 to secure third place overall.
The event saw top talent from several schools, with Abigail Llewellyn from Virgin Valley finishing in first place with a score of 80, and Iris Sim from Meadows closely following in second place with an 86. Despite the tough competition, Zuniga’s steady play and focus throughout the day earned her a spot among the top finishers.
PVHS Coach Bob Hopkins expressed pride in Zuniga’s performance, highlighting her continuous improvement on the course. “Ali is playing better,” Hopkins noted. “We just need to work on the short game.”
This strong showing from Zuniga signals a promising season ahead.
