The Pahrump Valley High School Lady Trojans volleyball team dominated on the road against the Democracy Prep Knights, sweeping the match in three straight sets through disciplined serving, strong net play, and sharp communication across all rotations.
The first set opened with a commanding serving streak from Henna Maiava, who fired off four consecutive aces before a serve into the net broke her rhythm. The Trojans maintained their lead behind Heavenly Ware’s powerful spikes and Riley Saldaña’s deep shots to the back court. Nala Dalton rotated in to serve, helping to keep momentum steady while Miani Freitas-Faamai and Marayah Waller worked the front line to challenge the Knights’ defense. Despite a few miscues, the Trojans’ energy never wavered—Maiava added two more aces late in the set, followed by a perfectly timed spike from Ware. A final block attempt from Democracy Prep fell short, giving Pahrump the 25–8 win.

In the second set, the Trojans’ teamwork and confidence continued to shine. Myah Krolczyk opened the scoring before Sedona Norton stepped up to the service line, delivering an ace that stretched the lead. Miani Freitas-Faamai kept the offense rolling with a quick tip over the net, and when the Knights tried to rally, Ware answered with another strong spike off a clean dig from the back row. Amaliah Mendoza added back-to-back aces during her service rotation, keeping the Knights on their heels. The Trojans’ front line stayed alert, with Waller saving a ball that nearly dropped on Pahrump’s side and turning it into a point. Dalton followed with three consecutive aces as the Knights struggled to return serves. Krolczyk later added an ace of her own, and Maiava capped the set with another hard serve that dropped untouched for a 25–12 finish.

The third set featured more balanced back-and-forth play as Democracy Prep adjusted, but Pahrump quickly regained control. Maiava started things off again with an ace, while Saldaña powered a spike across court to put the Trojans back on top. Ware’s serving run extended the lead before Xe’ane Kamanu entered the action with a key block at the net to stop a Knights attack. Norton once again came through with consecutive aces to tie the score mid-set, and Madison Rodriguez anchored the back row with steady passing. Mendoza’s ace and Waller’s quick tip helped Pahrump edge ahead 9–8.

As the game intensified, the Trojans’ teamwork shone—Kamanu blocked a tight net play, and Ware added another kill off a clean set from Maiava. Dalton delivered an ace to widen the gap before Kamanu scored back-to-back aces of her own, including one that just rolled over the top of the net. Mendoza sealed the match with two final aces, closing out the set 25–18.
Every player on the Lady Trojans’ roster—Henna Maiava, Xe’ane Kamanu, Heavenly Ware, Riley Saldaña, Nala Dalton, Miani Freitas-Faamai, Amaliah Mendoza, Myah Krolczyk, Marayah Waller, Sedona Norton, and Madison Rodriguez—contributed to the sweep with consistent energy and communication. The team’s serving accuracy and defensive hustle kept the Knights off balance all night, marking another strong performance for the Lady Trojans as they continue their season.
