On October 1, 2024, the PVHS Girls’ Golf team traveled to Boulder City for a key match as they prepare for the upcoming regional tournament. The competition saw Boulder City’s Emmerson Hinds carding an impressive score of 72, while Virgin Valley’s Abigail Llewellyn shot 79. Representing Pahrump Valley High School, Aliana Zuniga finished with a score of 89.
“Ali played well but had 3 bad holes,” Head Coach Bob Hopkins said of Zuniga’s performance. “Hopefully, she learned what to play for regionals next week.”
The upcoming regional tournament, which will be held at Boulder City, is crucial for the team’s advancement to the state tournament. The state tournament will take place in Dayton on Oct 15th and 16th.
With key lessons learned from their match at Boulder City, the PVHS Girls’ Golf team is focused on refining their game and readying themselves for the next step in their season. As they head into regionals, Zuniga aims to build on her experience and push for success on the challenging courses ahead.
