Pahrump Valley High School celebrated a major milestone for several senior student-athletes on Friday, May 8, as the school hosted a special signing day ceremony recognizing athletes who have committed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
Family members, friends, coaches, teammates and school staff gathered to honor the seniors during what marked one of the largest signing groups in recent PVHS history. The ceremony highlighted not only the athletes’ accomplishments in competition, but also the years of dedication, hard work and perseverance that helped them reach the next level.
The Trojans represented a wide range of sports, including football, soccer, track and field, wrestling, softball and dance, showcasing the depth of athletic talent across the PVHS programs.
Among those signing were football standouts Austin Alvarez and Joshua Slusher, who both committed to Mayville State University. The duo helped lead the Trojan football program through a strong season and now will continue their careers together at the collegiate level.

Soccer player Cayden Cowley signed with Vermont State University, while fellow soccer standout Natalia Vallin committed to LeTourneau University, giving the PVHS soccer program two athletes advancing to the next stage of competition.

Track and field also had a strong showing during the ceremony. Ben De Santiago signed with Concordia University Irvine after a standout senior season that included record-breaking performances for the Trojans. Jayden Crisler committed to Indiana Tech, while Jules Ondrisko signed with Nevada State University, continuing a strong tradition of PVHS athletes competing at the collegiate level in track and field.

Wrestler Ethan Rouse signed with Wayland Baptist University, recognizing years of commitment on the mat and continued growth throughout his high school career.

Softball standout Madison Rodriguez signed with Grays Harbor College, adding another collegiate commitment for the successful Trojan softball program.

Also celebrated during the event was Tayela Brown, who signed with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to join the Scarlet Dance Line, continuing her passion for dance at the collegiate level.

The event served as both a celebration and a reflection of the support system surrounding each athlete. Coaches, teammates, teachers and family members all played a role in helping the seniors reach this milestone moment.

For the athletes, signing day represented the culmination of years spent balancing practices, competitions, travel, academics and countless hours of preparation. For PVHS, it was an opportunity to celebrate a group of seniors whose achievements have left a lasting impact on their respective programs.
As the ceremony concluded, each athlete posed for photos alongside family members and coaches, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter beyond high school athletics.
