Pahrump Valley High School’s tennis teams kicked off their season with a resounding victory in their home opener against Coral Academy on Monday, August 19, 2024, securing their first league victory of the season.
Boys’ Team Dominates with a 15-3 Victory
The PVHS boys’ tennis team was in top form, winning their matches with a commanding score of 15-3. Leading the charge in the singles matches were Milan Vazquez, James DelaRosa, and Sonny Skinner, each delivering strong performances to secure their individual victories.
In the doubles matches, the dynamic duo of Chris Jacks and Legend Reigns displayed exceptional coordination and strategy, clinching their match with ease. Juan Rodriguez and Mariano Ayala also proved to be an unstoppable team, securing another win for PVHS. Their combined efforts contributed significantly to the boys’ overall victory.
Girls’ Team Shines with a 16-2 Win
Not to be outdone, the PVHS girls’ tennis team also delivered an outstanding performance, winning their match 16-2. Alexis Staples, Jemi Chavez, and Abby Amador led the way in the singles matches, each dominating their opponents with skill and precision.
The girls’ doubles teams were equally impressive. Chloe Sitter Jones and Milly Khandpur showcased excellent teamwork and communication, earning a solid victory in their match. Layla Burnell and Cristiana Baang followed suit, securing another win for the team. Isabelle Harris and Allison Amador rounded out the successful day with a win in their doubles match, demonstrating the depth and talent of the PVHS girls’ team.
