Wine lovers and families looking for a relaxing way to celebrate this May have two opportunities to raise a glass at Charleston Peak Winery, as the local destination announces special offerings for both Mother’s Day and National Wine Day.
Located just outside of town at the base of Charleston Peak, the winery is planning two distinct experiences designed to bring guests together over thoughtfully crafted wines, scenic views and a welcoming atmosphere.
Mother’s Day, celebrated this year on Sunday, May 10, will feature a simple but meaningful touch for those visiting the winery. Guests will receive a complimentary logo wine glass with any purchase, offering a keepsake to remember the day. The experience is designed to encourage families to slow down and enjoy time together, whether that means sharing a bottle on the patio or sampling a variety of wines inside the tasting room.
Visitors can expect a range of options to suit different preferences, from crisp whites and refreshing rosés to more robust blends. The setting itself adds to the experience, with vineyard rows stretching out against a backdrop of desert mountains.
Later in the month, the celebration continues with National Wine Day on Monday, May 25, which coincides with Memorial Day. On that day, guests who purchase any bottle will receive a complimentary tasting, giving them the opportunity to explore more of the winery’s growing portfolio.
Throughout both events, guests can take part in guided tastings, wine and chocolate pairings, or simply enjoy selections by the glass or bottle. Among the featured wines are the 2019 Left Bank Blend, a Bordeaux-style offering, the Desert Blush rosé, Symphony Peak—a crisp, dry white—and Symphony Moon, known for its softer, sweeter profile.
To complement the wine experience, light bites from AMARI Italian Kitchen are available, allowing guests to pair their selections with thoughtfully prepared dishes. Whether seated indoors or outside, the combination of food, wine and scenery creates an inviting setting for both celebrations.
Charleston Peak Winery, originally founded in 1989 as Pahrump Valley Vineyards, continues to build on its legacy as one of Nevada’s pioneering wine destinations. Today, the boutique estate spans approximately nine acres and produces a variety of locally crafted wines that reflect the region’s unique high-desert growing conditions.
The winery is open Wednesday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is closed on Tuesdays. Those interested in attending either celebration are encouraged to plan ahead, as the events are expected to draw both locals and visitors looking to enjoy a spring day in one of Pahrump’s most scenic settings.
