As the school year begins to wind down, Pahrump Valley Junior Athletics is already looking ahead—offering local students an opportunity to stay active, build skills, and gain confidence through a full lineup of summer camps and training opportunities.

Designed for elementary and middle school-aged athletes, the upcoming camps will provide a well-rounded introduction to athletic development in a positive and structured environment. Participants can expect a variety of options tailored to different experience levels and interests, including sport-specific training, weight room introductions, and even personalized one-on-one training sessions for those looking to take their development to the next level.

The camps are built around more than just competition—they emphasize fundamentals, proper technique, and long-term growth. Whether a student is just beginning their athletic journey or already involved in sports, these sessions aim to help them improve while fostering a strong work ethic and love for being active.

In addition to the summer camp offerings, Pahrump Valley Junior Athletics is also launching a consistent in-season training opportunity for middle school athletes. Beginning May 4, strength and conditioning sessions will be held every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Pahrump Valley High School weight room.

These sessions are specifically geared toward students in grades 6 through 8 and will focus on key areas essential to athletic performance, including power, agility, speed, strength, and endurance. The structured program is designed to introduce younger athletes to proper training techniques while helping them build a solid physical foundation as they prepare for high school athletics.

With a combination of camps and ongoing training sessions, Pahrump Valley Junior Athletics is creating a valuable pathway for local youth to stay engaged, improve their abilities, and gain confidence both on and off the field.
