The Pahrump Valley High School Trojans’ JV girls’ basketball team put on a defensive clinic Tuesday night, January 28, as they overpowered the Boulder City Eagles with relentless pressure in a 29-13 victory at home. From the very start, the Trojans came out aggressive on defense that rattled the Eagles and led to multiple turnovers. The Pahrump Valley High School Cheer team wrapped up a highly successful fundraiser camp this week, culminating in an exciting halftime performance at the PVHS Varsity girls’ basketball game on January 28. With approximately 35 young cheerleaders participating, the camp was a fantastic opportunity for aspiring athletes to learn new skills, build confidence, and showcase their talents in front of a packed crowd. The Pahrump Valley High School Girls Wrestling team put up a strong fight at Regionals on January 24-25, with several wrestlers coming heartbreakingly close to securing a spot at the state tournament. To qualify, wrestlers needed to place in the top four of their weight class, and while none of the Trojans made it to state this time, their determination and grit were on full display. Jeremy Albertson’s journey is one deeply connected to his high school years, where he first built the foundation for his achievements. A 2018 graduate of Pahrump Valley High School, Jeremy excelled both on and off the field.
