The PVHS Girls Golf team put on a strong performance at Siena Golf Club on Tuesday, September 10. Aliana Zuniga from Pahrump secured second place with a personal best score of 75, shooting a 42 on the front nine and an impressive 33 on the back nine.
Abigail Llewellyn from Virgin Valley claimed first place with a score of 74, while Iris Sim from The Meadows took third place with an 88.
Head Coach Bob Hopkins praised Zuniga’s effort, saying, “Ali played great! She played like she’s capable of, relaxed. It was the best putting day I’ve seen from her, 18 putts on the front and 12 on the back.”
Zuniga’s strong finish keeps her competitive in the league standings as the team prepares for their next match, a quadrangular event in Boulder City on September 19.
