Advocates for Children of Rural Nevada will bring the flavors, music and traditions of Hawaii to Pahrump during its 2026 Luau on Saturday, Oct. 10.

The annual fundraiser will be held at The Calvada Eye on Walt Williams Drive. Doors will open at 4 p.m., with dinner beginning at 5 p.m. and a 45-minute luau show starting at 6 p.m.

Proceeds will support ACORN’s work on behalf of children in the foster care system. The nonprofit recruits, trains and supports court-appointed guardian ad litem volunteers who advocate for children as their cases move through the court system.

This year’s event will feature a traditional luau dinner catered by Da Bruddah’s Grindz, drinks served by the staff of The Wine Down and a selection of Hawaiian desserts.

Na Hula Hali’a Aloha Cultural Preservation will join the celebration for the first time, offering interactive Hawaiian-inspired cultural activities and games beginning at 4 p.m. The group’s evening performance will feature hula, Hawaiian music and the spirit of aloha.

Guests will also have opportunities to participate in a 50/50 raffle and Pick-A-Prize drawings. Estate 411 will lead a live auction during the evening.

Individual tickets are $50 per person. Community members may also support the fundraiser through sponsorships, monetary contributions or donations of baskets and other items for the Pick-A-Prize drawings.

The $650 Aloha sponsorship includes a reserved table and tickets for eight guests, a full-page advertisement in the event program and recognition in event promotions. The $450 Ohana sponsorship includes a reserved table and tickets for six guests, a half-page program advertisement and promotional recognition. The sponsorship deadline is Sept. 30.

ACORN is also selling tickets for a separate prize drawing that will take place during Crabfest on Feb. 7, 2027. First prize includes a Hawaiian vacation and $1,500, while the second-place winner will receive $500. Tickets are $50 each, and winners do not need to be present at the drawing. The vacation must be used by the end of 2027.

Tickets and additional information are available by calling 775-505-2272 or emailing advocates@acornv.org. Donations and sponsorship payments may also be delivered or mailed to Advocates for Children of Rural Nevada, 621 S. Blagg Road, Pahrump, NV 89048.

ACORN is a program of Nevada Outreach Training Organization, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
