The Pahrump Valley High School tennis teams earned several individual and doubles victories during a pair of closely contested matches against Moapa Valley on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16.
The Trojan girls traveled to Moapa Valley on Tuesday, where they fell 11-7 despite receiving points throughout the lineup.
Chanel Anthony led Pahrump by sweeping all three of her singles matches. Aurora Bowers and Mia Alvarez each added a singles victory, finishing with one win apiece in their three matches.
Pahrump’s doubles teams also contributed to the final score. Milly Khandpur and Nyomi Skinner won one of their three matches, while Lily Gregory and Wendy Rodriguez also secured one victory.



The Trojan boys hosted the Pirates the following afternoon and finished regulation tied at nine matches apiece.
Jace Eichner and Ethan Johnson delivered undefeated performances for Pahrump, each winning all three of his singles matches. Solomon Wagner added another point by winning one of his two matches.
Brendan Torres and Tristan Torres supplied two additional victories in doubles competition, winning two of their three matches together and helping the Trojans force the tiebreaker.








Eichner and Johnson continued their success by winning their individual tiebreaker matches. However, Moapa Valley narrowly prevailed 36-32 in the games-based tiebreaker, earning the additional team point and the 10-9 victory.
Although both team results went to Moapa Valley, the Trojans received strong performances across their singles and doubles lineups, with Anthony, Eichner and Johnson each completing perfect three-match outings.
