The Pahrump Theater Company is preparing for the Halloween season with two upcoming events offering opportunities for local performers, artists and supporters to get involved.
The festivities will begin with Goth Night on Friday, Sept. 11, at Black Cow Coffee House. The event starts at 7 p.m. and will continue into the evening with tarot readings, an open mic and poetry performances, along with an art auction.
Proceeds from Goth Night will support the Pahrump Theater Company’s upcoming Halloween production, “Dr. Jekyll’s Gothic Carnival.” Community members are invited to attend, enjoy the evening’s activities and help bring the seasonal show to the stage.
The following evening, the theater company will hold auditions for “Dr. Jekyll’s Gothic Carnival.” Auditions are scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the theater located at 1680 E. Calvada Blvd. in Pahrump.
The company is seeking scare actors and people with unique talents who would like to participate in the Halloween production. Those interested are encouraged to attend and demonstrate what they could bring to the carnival-themed show.
Whether residents are interested in performing, sharing poetry, displaying their creativity or simply enjoying an evening inspired by the spooky season, the two events provide several ways to support local theater in Pahrump.
