Chase the Ace: A Fun and Rewarding Way to Support Pahrump’s Junior Golfers

The Pahrump Valley Junior Golf Association (PVJGA) is offering the community a thrilling and rewarding way to support young golfers through their weekly “Chase the Ace” fundraiser. Held every Tuesday evening at 7 PM at the Mountain Falls Grill Room, this engaging game of chance allows participants to win cash prizes while contributing to the growth and development of junior golf programs at Pahrump Valley High School and Rosemary Clarke Middle School. With each ticket purchased, players are helping to fund essential equipment, training, and tournament opportunities for young golfers while also getting the chance to win big.

Chase the Ace follows a simple but highly suspenseful format. At the start of the fundraiser, a game board is displayed at the Mountain Falls Grill Room with fifty-four playing cards, including two jokers, all placed face down and numbered from one to fifty-four. Each week, players can purchase as many raffle tickets as they like for $1 each. Ticket sales continue throughout the week and close just before the drawing at 6:55 PM on Tuesday evenings. Every ticket must include the participant’s full name, phone number, and the number of the card they wish to select if their ticket is drawn. If a player does not include a card number, one will be chosen at random for them.

At 7 PM, one lucky ticket is drawn from all tickets sold that week. The ticket holder then gets the opportunity to select a card from the board. If the Ace of Spades is revealed, they win the jackpot, which continues to grow every week that it remains unclaimed. However, if the winning player is not present at the drawing and they select the jackpot card, they will receive only fifty percent of the total jackpot amount.

Even if the Ace of Spades is not found, there are still numerous cash prizes available. The payout structure is designed to keep the game exciting and rewarding for participants. If a player selects an Ace of Hearts, Diamonds, or Clubs, they receive a $100 prize. Drawing a King, Queen, or Jack earns a prize of $50, while selecting a numbered card from two through ten results in a $25 payout. If a Joker is drawn, the prize is $75. There is also a special “Stop” card, represented by the red Joker. If this card is chosen, the board is completely reset, and a new deck of fifty-four cards is positioned for the following week’s game. The Stop card also comes with a $100 prize.

The Chase the Ace fundraiser follows strict guidelines to ensure fairness and transparency. Once a card is selected, it is removed from play by drawing a diagonal line across the face and placing it face-up on the board. Each week, after the drawing, all non-winning tickets are destroyed to ensure that each week’s game is fresh and independent from previous ones. The game board remains locked at all times, except during the official drawing. The total jackpot amount is calculated prior to each drawing and is prominently displayed at the venue.

The prize pool is split between the jackpot and the PVJGA, ensuring that each week’s ticket sales not only contribute to a growing prize but also directly support the future of junior golf in Pahrump. Fifty percent of all ticket sales go toward the jackpot, while the remaining fifty percent helps fund the PVJGA’s mission to develop and support young golfers. If the Ace of Spades is drawn, 100% of that week’s ticket sales are used to start a new jackpot, with no additional split going to the PVJGA for that week.

Participation is open to anyone aged twenty-one and older, making Chase the Ace an exciting and accessible way for the community to come together in support of youth athletics. The Pahrump Valley Junior Golf Association is dedicated to fostering a love for golf among young players, teaching them valuable lessons in discipline, sportsmanship, and skill development. The success of this fundraiser ensures that local junior golf programs continue to thrive and provide opportunities for young golfers to reach their full potential.

Tickets for Chase the Ace can be purchased at the Mountain Falls Pro Shop, located at 5001 Clubhouse Drive in Pahrump, during regular business hours or at the event before 6:55 PM. Whether attending in person or playing from afar, everyone has a chance to be part of this exciting weekly tradition. By purchasing a ticket, players are not only increasing their chances of winning but also making a meaningful contribution to the future of junior golf in the community. So, grab your tickets, join the fun, and take your shot at the jackpot while supporting a great cause!
